Dermot O'Neill, CPA/ABV, CVA, CFFA
Dermot has over 35
years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. He has
concentrated his practice in the areas of forensic
accounting and litigation support, business valuation,
transaction consulting, and income taxation. He has provided
consulting and expert witness assistance in cases involving
various types of forensic analysis, damage calculations and
business valuations.
Dermot is a CPA and has been awarded the designation ABV -
Accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants. He has been awarded the
designation CVA, Certified Valuation Analyst, and CFFA,
Certified Forensic Financial Analyst, by the National
Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He is a member
of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified
Public Accountants, National Association of Certified
Valuation Analysts, Turnaround Management Association, and
Institute of Business Appraisers. Dermot is a committee
member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the PICPA Committee on
Relations with the Bar, the Philadelphia Chapter of the
PICPA Business Valuation Committee, PICPA Forensic and
Litigation Services Committee (2007-2008 Annual Conference
Chair), PICPA Business Valuation Committee, National
Association of Certified Valuation Analysts State Chapters
Committee, and the Editorial Advisory Board of the National
Litigation Consultants Review.
Dermot has been an adjunct faculty member at Villanova
University, guest lecturer at the graduate schools of
business at Lehigh University and Weidner University as well
as a member of the National Faculty of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Staff Training
Taxation and Staff Training Accounting and Auditing.).
Currently, Dermot is an AICPA faculty member for business
valuation and litigation courses. He has presented numerous
seminars sponsored by the Accounting Associations,
Institutes and Societies in Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia,
Ohio, Utah, Maryland, and Texas and has developed courses
accredited for CLE by ALI-ABA.
He has testified as an expert in Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
New York, Delaware, Florida and Virginia as well as Federal
Bankruptcy Court and Federal District Court.
