Retired U.S. bankruptcy Judge Francis G. Conrad is a key partner in the Insolvency and Litigation Services Department of Bederson. Frank brings considerable experience in and knowledge of the law, accounting, workouts, turnarounds, arbitration and mediation, work with debtors, creditors and Chapter 7 Trustees to his role at Bederson. Among his key responsibilities is serving as advisor to troubled companies, debtors and committees.
Prior to joining Bederson & Company, Frank was most recently a partner at a large accounting and consulting firm where he provided debtor, creditor and financial advisory representation. He has served as a US Bankruptcy Judge for the Districts of Vermont and the Southern and Western Districts of New York. He has a JD from Fordham Law School and an MBA in financial management from John G. Hagan Graduate School of Business. Frank is a member of the bar in New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and the Supreme Court of the United States, several Federal Courts, Tax Court and the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.
Frank is a CPA, CIRA, CFE and a US Army Veteran. Currently a professor in the LLM Bankruptcy Program at St. John’s Law School, Frank is a frequent lecturer and moderator who provides thought leadership and has authored scores of scholarly articles appearing in national and international journals.
