Jeff is an Attorney, CPA, CFP® and the partner-in-charge of the Firm’s Tax Department. He has more than 12 years experience in complex domestic and international tax issues and specializes in income taxation, Estate and Gift tax planning for U.S. and non-resident aliens, U.S. beneficiaries of foreign trusts and asset protection planning. His practice also includes voluntary disclosure practice, transfer tax planning, tax litigation and other IRS related matters. Jeff also represents domestic clients with their domestic accounting, auditing and business advisory needs.
Jeff has extensive knowledge of domestic and international taxation and specifically to matters affecting inbound and outbound transactions of foreign owned US corporations and US owned controlled foreign corporations. He provides guidance on international tax compliance, foreign tax-credit planning, deferral planning, M&A planning and due diligence, repatriation planning and other tax issues associated with international transactions.
Jeff is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJSCPA), the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA), the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and the Trusts & Estates Law Section of the NYSBA. He is admitted to practice before the United States (US) Tax Court, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Jeff is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has served as an adjunct professor at the Samuel J. Silberman College of Business Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University and the Rutgers University Graduate School of Management. Jeff is a frequent speaker and published author on a full spectrum of tax-related subjects.
Jeff is a winner of the NJBIZ’s 2009 Forty Under 40 Award which recognizes New Jersey’s most dynamic business leaders under the age of 40.
